A key feature of Mail Manager is the naming of messages that are filed into system folders quickly and consistently.
The "Out of the box" settings ensure that duplicates are kept to a minimum and that different messages are not overwritten.
Modification of filename patterns are disabled by default.

We strongly advise NOT to edit the default filename patterns, as it may lead to duplicates being filed or different messages being overwritten with the same filename. |

To avoid issues with long folder paths and filenames, the max number of characters used from the subject in the filename is 40. |
